Lead Story
The past, present and future of search
If there is one thing that I am constantly harping about, it's the need for search marketers... well...to understand search engines. It may sound obvious, but believe me it isn't. One of the elements we can look at is the history of search (makes seeing the future easier) and of course research papers (not patents).
If you want to win the battle AND the war, understanding how an engine is put together will often get you that edge over the competition.
Anyway, just wanted to share this Googly video for your consumption;
It's a fairly easy to digest one and hopefully it gets ye thinking a bit deeper about this thing of ours. Panda (and other changes) caught many off guard, don't let it happen again.
